LUNCH & LEARN - Menopause, wellbeing and the workplace

No prior booking is required for this event.

This session is suitable for all staff and volunteers across the North East and North Cumbria health and care system. If you have any queries about your eligibility to attend, please get in touch.

Boost, in collaboration with North Cumbria Knowledge and Library Service, are planning a series of Lunch and Learns. These are 30 minute, virtual, informal sessions that take place at lunchtime - while you take a break and eat, you can listen to our invited speaker give a short talk sharing their experience of improvement work. The session is then open to anyone who has questions or reflections to offer.

Join us for this Lunch and Learn to hear from Jacqui McBurnie (North East and North Cumbria Menopause Lead) on 'Menopause, wellbeing and the workplace'.

This session will raise awareness around what menopause is, how it may affect you, your colleague or family member and why workplace support is vital. Jacqui will also offer up some tips and tools to maximise our wellbeing.

About our speaker...

Jacqui is in post as our Menopause Lead across the North East and North Cumbria health and care system. Prior to this role, Jacqui established (and chaired) the NHS Menopause Network since 2017/18 to develop menopause awareness and support in the workplace. Jacqui drafted the first NHS England Menopause Policy, access by self-referral to Peppy Health Nurse Specialists, and reporting of ‘menopause related sickness’ in the Electronic Staff Record (ESR).

Jacqui continues to press for change in both culture and recognition of the impact of menopause and as an executive committee member of the cross-government menopause network Jacqui links with civil servants to ensure there is shared learning on this agenda.

The session will take place via Microsoft Teams, and will be recorded. Please click here to join this Lunch & Learn...
