Working with Communities for Better Health and Care - Community Power in Decision Making (Cohort 1)

This session is suitable for all staff and volunteers across the North East and North Cumbria health and care system, who would like to get involved and know more about community powered approaches. If you have any queries about your eligibility to attend, please get in touch.

This programme forms part of a suite of four online workshops. You do not need to attend all four and can attend the workshops in any order, although we recommend you start with Module 1: 'Community Powered Health and Care - The Essentials'.

As this programme is a pilot, we have built in an extra 15 minutes at the end for you to give feedback on your experience.

Moving away from limited forms of ‘consultation’ to an engagement model underpinned by deliberative, consensus-building and meaningful conversations.

What you will learn:

  • The Why - driving more meaningful engagement with communities
  • The Impact - What can meaningful engagement with communities look and feel like
  • Top tips - how to work effectively with communities

The session will take place via Microsoft Teams, and a link will be emailed to registered delegates a few days in advance.
