Working with Communities for Better Health and Care - Mobilising Community Assets (Cohort 1)

WHO IS IT FOR?

Anyone working or volunteering in health and care who would like to get involved and know more about community powered approaches.

ABOUT THE SESSION

This programme forms part of a suite of four online workshops. You do not need to attend all four and can attend the workshops in any order, although we recommend you start with Module 1: 'Community Powered Health and Care - The Essentials'.

As this programme is a pilot, we have built in an extra 15 minutes at the end for you to give feedback on your experience.

Understanding the role of active communities in prevention and how institutions can support the mobilisation of a diverse range of community assets.

What you will learn:

  • From deficit to strengths - reflections on asset-based approaches
  • What is an asset, and how it can be mobilised for public health
  • Opportunities and challenges of driving an strengths/asset based approach

The session will take place via Microsoft Teams, and a link will be emailed to registered delegates a few days in advance.
