Working with Communities for Better Health and Care - Mobilising Community Assets (Cohort 3)


This session is suitable for all staff and volunteers across the North East and North Cumbria health and care system, who would like to get involved and know more about community powered approaches. If you have any queries about your eligibility to attend, please get in touch.


This programme forms part of a suite of four online workshops. You do not need to attend all four and can attend the workshops in any order, although we recommend you start with Module 1: 'Community Powered Health and Care - The Essentials'.

Understanding the role of active communities in prevention and how institutions can support the mobilisation of a diverse range of community assets. 

What you will learn:

  • From deficit to strengths - reflections on asset-based approaches
  • What is an asset, and how it can be mobilised for public health
  • Opportunities and challenges of driving an strengths/asset based approach 

The session will take place via Microsoft Teams, and a link will be emailed to registered delegates a few days in advance.
